Balayage (pronounced BAH-LEE-AHGE) is the result of a collaboration between Pascuali and knitwear designer Melanie Berg, aka Mairlynd. The term Balayage comes from the hair styling field and refers to a hair dyeing technique in which hair displays a color gradient. The color palette of Balayage was developed according to the principles of color gradients - color blocks of 4 colors are matched to each other. The color blocks can then be combined in contrast with colors from other color blocks. Balayage's special mixture of gray and white fibers supports the effect of a color gradient within the individual threads and creates natural color accents.

From fiber to finished yarn, Balayage is produced in Peru from baby alpaca and extrafine merino wool (non-mulesed).
