BRIOCHESTARTER HAT (knit) - Sundays from 2:30-4:30pm beginning Sep 17

Are you an adventurous knitter? Come make this cute hat by Raina K and learn basic 2-color brioche. It's easier than you think! Don't let the 2-color knitting intimidate you - you're only working with one color at a time, and using two colors actually helps you understand how brioche knitting works.

Skills taught in this class:

  • Brioche knit and purl
  • Brioche decreases
  • Managing yarns while working in the round
Class Materials:
  • Pattern - BriocheStarter Hat by Raina K (free on Ravelry - students must download and print their pattern prior to the class)
  • Yarn (must be purchased separately from 3 Kittens Needle Arts) - worsted weight yarn: ~120 yards each of two high-contrast colors. We suggest Berroco Ultra Wool or Malabrigo Rios (1 skein of each color).
  • Needles - US 4/3.5mm 16" circulars and dpns or size to obtain gauge and US 2-3/3-3.25mm 16" circulars
  • Knit kit including stitch markers and locking stitch markers; pen/pencil and paper

Homework -
Please read through pattern and make notes of any questions you have.
