MELISSA LEAPMAN: ON THE BUBBLE - Saturday, January 14 from 1-3pm CT (via Zoom)
Join Melissa Leapman to explore the fun and easy ways tuck stitches can elevate your knitting. Learn solid-color as well as multi-color variations of the popular (and super easy!) bubble stitch.
Class will be held via Zoom from 1-3pm CT (2-4pm ET; 12-2pm MT; 11am-1pm PT). Class will not be recorded.
Skill Level - Advanced Beginner +
Class Materials -
- Worsted weight yarn – smooth in at least 3 high-contrast colors
- US 8/5mm needles (straight or circular)
- Class handout (printed – will be sent via email prior to class); 4 swatches (see below); sticky notes
Homework -
Swatch 1: With smooth, dark-colored worsted weight yarn and US 8 needles, cast on 27 sts. Work in K1, P1 rib for 1". Slip stitches onto a holder and bring to class with yarn still attached.
Swatch 2: With smooth, dark-colored worsted weight yarn and US 8 needles, cast on 21 sts. Work in K1, P1 rib for 1". Slip stitches onto a holder and bring to class with yarn still attached.
Swatch 3: With smooth, light-colored worsted weight yarn and US 8 needles, cast on 27 sts. Work in K1, P1 rib for 1". Slip stitches onto a holder and bring to class with yarn still attached.
Swatch 4: With smooth, medium-colored worsted weight yarn and US 8 needles, cast on 29 sts. Work in K1, P1 rib for 1". Slip stitches onto a holder and bring to class with yarn still attached.
