MARTINA BEHM SCARF FUSION (knit) - Sundays from 2-4pm beginning July 14



Are you a newer knitter? This Fusion class is perfect for a next level project! Pick from three Martina Behm scarf/shawl patterns to start your next adventure. Elizabeth will guide you through reading your pattern, understanding edging details, and more.

Class Materials:
  • Pattern - Hitchhiker, Trillian or Knopse by Martina Behm (~$6.00 on Ravelry)
  • Yarn (must be purchased separately from 3 Kittens Needle Arts) - 525-575 yards of fingering weight yarn. We suggest Polka Dot Sheep Tenderfoot 80/20, Woolerton Estates The Engineer, or Schoppel Zauberball Crazy (2 balls/skeins)
  • Needles - US 2.5-4/3-3.5mm 32" circulars or size to obtain gauge (see homework)
  • Knit kit including locking stitch marker; US 7/4.5mm dpn for binding off Trillian; pen/pencil and paper

Homework - 
Please read through pattern and make notes of any questions you have.
Make two swatches on two different size needles as follows: With US 2.5 or 3 needles, cast on 25 sts and work in garter stitch (knit every row) for 5". Bind off and block. Repeat using needles 2-3 sizes larger. Bring both swatches to class. We will discuss the differences between the two swatches and talk about drape and other factors when choosing which size needles to use.

Cancellation Policy - Student cancellations must be made at least one week prior to the class to receive a refund for the class fee. After that date, class fees are not refundable and cannot be transferred to another class. Any yarn or supplies purchased for the class are subject to our regular return policyIf less than three people sign up for the class, each session may be shortened.  We may need to reschedule due to weather or teacher illness.


Skill Level: Intermediate
Skill Details: Students must understand RS/WS; know how to read their knitting; be able to rip out/unknit.
Instructor: Elizabeth
Instructor Bio: Elizabeth joined the 3 Kittens staff in July 2017 as a sales associate and an instructor. She enjoys knitting cables and textures. She has had several designs published which can be found on Ravelry and at www.yarn.com. Elizabeth is a certified Master Knitter.
