CAST ON CHOICES (knit) via Zoom - Wednesday, Feb 9 from 4-5pm

Different projects can require different cast ons than the ubiquitous long-tail cast on. We will go through three different cast on methods and talk about when you might need to use each one. Class will be recorded and will be available to students for two weeks following the class.

Skills taught in this class:

  • Knitted Cast On
  • Cable Cast On
  • Twisted German (Old Norwegian) Cast On

Class Materials (click on the links to order your items for delivery or pick up before class; if shipping, please allow at least 5 days):
  • Yarn - Worsted weight - light colored, smooth texture (leftovers are fine or purchase one ball of Berroco Ultra Wool); please wind into 4 balls
  • US 8/5mm needles (circular, dpn or straight)
  • Knit kit including scissors, paper and pen/pencil

Cancellation Policy - Student cancellations must be made at least one week prior to the class to receive a refund for the class fee. After that date, class fees are not refundable and cannot be transferred to another class. Any yarn or supplies purchased for the class are subject to our regular return policy.

Skill Details: Must know how to knit and purl, be able to recognize RS/WS.
Instructor: Elizabeth
Instructor Bio: Elizabeth joined the 3 Kittens staff in July 2017 as a sales associate and an instructor. She enjoys knitting cables and textures. She has had several designs published which can be found on Ravelry and at Elizabeth is a certified Master Knitter.
