BASIC SOCKS (knit) - Sundays from 10am-noon beginning Sep 10



Hand knitted socks are the most comfy socks you will ever wear, especially those that you've made to fit your very own feet!

Skills taught in this class:

  • Knitting in the round on double pointed needles
  • Heel shaping
  • Kitchener Stitch

Required materials: 
  • Pattern - Knit to Fit Socks by Nancy Lindberg ($5.00)
  • Yarn (purchased separately at 3 Kittens) - 100g fingering weight yarn; 1 spool reinforcing thread in color to best match yarn
  • Needles - US 2/2.75mm double pointed needles - or size to obtain gauge

Homework:
  • Please complete a swatch as follows - cast on 20 sts on US 2 needles, work in stockinette for 4”, bind off, DO NOT CUT

Cancellation Policy - Student cancellations must be made at least one week prior to the class to receive a refund for the class fee. After that date, class fees are not refundable and cannot be transferred to another class. Any yarn or supplies purchased for the class are subject to our regular return policy3 Kittens may need to cancel a class if not enough people sign up, but we try to provide other options when we can. We may need to reschedule due to weather or teacher illness.

Instructor Bio: Jane Piotraschke has worked at 3 Kittens since 2010 as a sales associate and instructor. Jane teaches beginning knitting, basic socks, as well as anything that has a cable, mosaic, short rows. In addition, Jane teaches several studios each month. She is currently working towards the Master Knitter certification with The Knitting Guild of America.
