SHORT ROWS (knit) via Zoom - Sunday, January 23 from 1-2pm CT

Short rows are used to create undulating fabrics or to shape garments for fit. There are many patterns that use short rows in their instructions, so learning how to create them is a great skill to add to your tool box. In this class, you will learn two methods to create short rows. Class will be recorded and will be available to students for two weeks following the class.

• How and when short rows are used
• Wrap and turn method
• German short row method

Class Materials (click on the links to order your items for delivery or pick up before class; if shipping, please allow at least 5 days):

• Yarn - Worsted weight - light colored, smooth texture (leftovers are fine or purchase one ball of Berroco Ultra Wool)
• US 8/5mm needles (circular, dpn or straight)
• Knit kit including locking stitch markers, scissors, paper and pen/pencil

Homework - 

• Make two swatches as follows. DO NOT BIND OFF. Leave stitches on needles or stitch holder.
  
  • Swatch 1 (garter stitch) - CO 25 sts, knit 8 rows
  • Swatch 2 (stockinette stitch) - CO 25 sts. Row 1: knit. Row 2: purl. Repeat rows 1 & 2 three more times.

Instructor Bio:	Elizabeth joined the 3 Kittens staff in July 2017 as a sales associate and an instructor. She enjoys knitting cables and textures. She has had several designs published which can be found on Ravelry and at www.yarn.com. Elizabeth is a certified Master Knitter.
