The Knitter's Tool Box: Continental Knitting (Picking) for English Knitters (Throwers)

Continental Knitting, also known as Picking, is one of the two most popular methods of knitting in the US. You hold the yarn in your left hand and manipulate the yarn with your index finger. If you are a thrower (English style knitter), learning how to hold the yarn in your left hand is handy for doing two-color stranded knitting. It's a great skill to put in your tool box or to learn if you're planning on joining our Strathendrick KAL.
Required Materials:

  • Yarn - smooth, light-colored worsted weight
  • Needles - US 8/5.0mm 24" circular

Homework: Cast on 20 sts and bring to class

Meets 1x
