3-DAY 3D GINGERBREAD HOUSE CLASS w/Gwendolyn - June 13-15, 2026
Calling all 3D Gingerbread House fans! Gwendolyn will be teaching another 3-Day 3D Gingerbread House Class over one three-day weekend at 3 Kittens in 2026. Canvases are both from Susan Roberts Needlepoint - House #1 is the Rainbow Candy & Gummy Bear House and House #1 is a brand new design (to be revealed at the Autumn Needlepoint Market!). Plan on bringing a canvas you purchased or ordered from 3 Kittens by July 12. Paula will bring fresh ideas and inspiration for each student during this 3-Day event, starting with a set of Jump Start suggestions (3-5 areas) for each participant. Paula will continue to work with each person over the course of the three days, adding 3-5 areas per day. Register early to get your spot!

Your instructor will teach you the basic needlepoint stitch (called the Tent Stitch) in Continental (morning session) and then Basketweave (afternoon session). You will also learn how to attach stretcher bars, open a skein of thread, how to begin and end your thread and what order to stitch the different areas in your canvas. Choose the initial you would like to stitch (please order by Nov 1), and you will be able to choose the silk ribbon colors you like from our River Silks Trunk Show. Paula knows a number of techniques for creating realistic and beautiful silk ribbon flowers and leaves and lots of tips for working with this beautiful textile. She will also have stitch and thread suggestions for the Initial and Background. Finish as a pillow, an insert in a tote bag or an acrylic tray.
