Bring one canvas to work on with Paula during this in-person group class. Paula will work her way around the table and suggest new ideas for stitches and threads for 2-3 areas in your canvas. Please bring a canvas purchased at 3 Kittens. All levels of stitching experience welcome!
Join a group of up four stitchers to learn the basics of this creative needle art. Whether you are brand new to needlepoint or need a refresher, this is the class for you. We will help you choose a small project (on 13 mesh canvas) and the perfect threads to bring it to life. You will need a small embroidery scissors and stretcher bars (available here), and your class purchase includes tapestry needles, a needle threader and our How To Needlepoint Handout. Your instructor will teach you the basic needlepoint stitch (called the Tent Stitch), how to open a skein of thread, beginning and ending your thread and what order to stitch the different areas in your canvas. Lots of other tips and tricks shared during class - all you need is your enthusiasm to learn something new!
