reunion (eek!), my husband's family reunion and getting my
youngest son off to camp, I didn't have the time - or the energy

Market Report |
Janine and I traveled to Columbus, OH June 10-14 for The
National Needlearts Association conference - more commonly known
as TNNA or just "market." It was a fun, albeit tiring, weekend
filled with new yarns, interesting classes, a fabulous fashion
show, and more. Unfortunately, we didn't get to spend much time
in the needlepoint portion of the show. Julie was unable to
make this market, and it was just too hard to do anything but
fly through the needlepoint booths picking up new price lists
and catalog pages. So most of this report will focus on the
yarn side of things.
Trends for fall that we noticed:
- Chunky and Super-Chunky fashions
- Cowls and hoods
- Sock variations, including knit boots with leather soles
- Check out the
fall color trend report from Pantone (thanks to yarn rep

Needlepoint Finishing Deadlines |
Deadlines are fast approaching for needlepoint projects than need to be
finished before various holidays. Follow these guidelines in order to
make sure you have your items ready on time!
Halloween: September 1
Thanksgiving: September 15
Christmas Ornaments: September 20
All Other Christmas and Hannukah: October 1
Please let us know if any of your finishing is "time sensitive,"
particularly if you are traveling and need to take a finished item
with you or if you need to allow shipping time for finishing that
will be a gift.
